WHEN APPLIED ACCORDING TO THIS

WRAPPER DIAGRAM, THIS PRODUCT

COVERS 96 SQUARE FEET. FOR 100 SQUARE

FEET OF ROOF COVERAGE, USE A 2" TOP

LAP AND A 4" END LAP.

This product is NOT to be used on slopes less

than 2" per horizontal foot.

ROOF DECK – Roof deck must be smooth, dry

and free from warped surfaces. It is recommended

that metal drip edges be installed at eaves and

rakes.

UNROLL BEFORE APPLYING – Rooﬁng should

be unrolled and allowed to lie ﬂat in warm sunlight

for some time in advance of application. This

allows the material to relax, thereby minimizing

the possibility of buckles and surface unevenness.

THE SHEET SHOULD BE CUT IN 12' to 18'

LENGTHS.

TEMPERATURE – Rooﬁng must not be applied

when air temperature is below 50

°F unless

proper precautions have been taken to allow for

application of the material.

ADHESIVE – TAMKO recommends TAMKO

Cold Method and Lap Cement and/or any cold

application cement meeting ASTM D 3019.

UNDERLAYMENT – Tamko recommends the use

of underlayment with roll rooﬁng. Apply asphalt

saturated felt as underlayment over the entire

deck. Apply horizontally, parallel to eaves, lapping

each course of the felt over lower course at least

2" and where ends join, lap the felt 4".

APPLICATION - Place 9" side strips of roll rooﬁng

along the eaves and rakes, positioning them

to overhang the deck 1/4" to 3/8". Fasten strips

with 2 rows of nails as shown in diagram below.

Position a full-width strip of rooﬁng so that edges

are ﬂush with eaves and rakes. Fasten upper edge

with nails 4" on center and slightly staggered. Next

course should overlap nails a minimum of 1". Lift

lower edge of ﬁrst course and cover edge ﬁrmly

into cement. Continue each succeeding course in

the same manner, varying 12' to 18' sheet lengths,

so that end laps do not line up with one another.

Pay close attention to the laps because proper

sealing is critical.

WARNING

All cement is to be applied in thin, smooth, even

layers. Excessive use of cement will cause

blistering of this product. TAMKO Rooﬁng

Products, Inc. will assume NO responsibility for

the blistering.

All nails should be covered. If any nails remain

exposed, cover them with plastic asphalt rooﬁng

cement.

Roll rooﬁng may also be applied vertically, parallel

to the rakes.
